Have you ever struggled with purpose or meaning in your life? Have you struggled to move beyond or to heal from a dysfunctional or an abusive relationship? Well, you’re not alone! The good news is I can support you through your healing process and help you find the strength within yourself to find peace, joy, healing and empowerment to live your best life.
I work with clients in therapy to help them process their feelings in the context of past and current experiences. Treatment goals and planning are developed in collaboration with you, at your pace, based on where you are at in your treatment. I work from the Positive Psychology approach to help you become happy and fulfilled in your life. I also use Strength-Based Therapy techniques, as I believe that each person has many internal strengths and resources that are waiting to be utilized. These strengths and resources are used to build resilience, heal, and to help you reach your full potential. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy are other therapeutic approaches that I use during treatment. I specialize in treating depression, anxiety, those recovering from various types of trauma, women’s issues and female adolescent / teenage issues.
I am an LCSW who earned a Bachelor of Science in Social Work from Southern Connecticut State University in 1997, where I graduated Magna Cum Laude, before earning my Master of Social Work from Fordham University in 1998. I have been a therapist and Senior Director of Clinical Services for over 20 years.
My passion is and has always been to empower people to see their self-worth, to help them feel their best and to live their happiest life. If that is something that you desire for yourself, please contact me at Stacy@mhccholistichealth.hush.com or 860-467-1629.
